It's been a while since I've written due

to the busy Christmas season.

Thank you to all who came in to share the joy of

celebrating with fresh flowers.

Don't know if it's the new year or with Christmas behind us

or the summer weather, but I notice a slowing, relaxed pace

and it's nice to see it, to feel it.

Sunny, fun Sun Flowers and

amazing Gloriosa Lily in store now in abundance.

This quirky glass flower vessel

displays a single stem Tuberose,

also now in season.

Inhale it's heady perfume and your hooked!!

Light bulb flower vessel is available in store now.

I love this bottle. Picked it up from a

second hand store in Rutherglen.

I like the fact that it leans over to

one side.

For added rustic charm I tied a bow

using jute string.

The flower is a stem of Andromeda.

Suzi Waters, Director, Alannah Rose Invitations and Stationery,
comes into the store and casually says her daughter, Ella, is having a Bee themed party and would like to add flowers to the party decorations. After some discussion Suzi took away
cheery, bright Jonquils and Erlicheer.

Well, you can imagine my surprise when she so kindly sent through
these photos. Suzi created a beautiful party and Ella is so, so

Gorgeous flowers, it draws on the traditions of flowers
of significance for the Royal Family, the Middleton family
and on the language of flowers.

The bouquet was petit, but the tiny blooms echo the
delicate lace on the bodice of the dress. The flowers
complimented the gown perfectly.

Catherine Middleton's wedding bouquet was a shield-
shaped wired bouquet consisting of:
Lily-of-the-valley symbolising return of happiness
Sweet William for gallantry (and a charming tribute to her husband)
Hyacinth for constancy of love
Ivy for fidelity, marriage, friendship and affection
Myrtle, the emblem of marriage and love.
The myrtle is actually from a plant that Queen Victoria planted
in 1845 and also used in Queen Elizabeth's wedding in 1947.

Bouquets carried by the little bridesmaids used the same
flowers, but the wreaths worn by the little girls echoed
Catherine's Mother's flowers - Lily-of-the-Valley.

Hyacinths are the only flower we recommend NOT cutting the stems before
placing in a vase of fresh water because the bulb has purposefully been left on
for the flowers to receive nutrients.

Wow - what a find.
We were just as excited as our client when she presented this classic Chanel
show piece which she found in a small country town op shop.
She is attending a wedding and is using it to accessorise her outfit.
She kindly asked if we could dress it up for the occasion.
We conditioned the leather exterior and it came up perfectly glossy.
Attached with black satin ribbon is Vanda Orchid in fushia and Cyclamen foliage.
